rant-it-up

When did everybody tun into experts? And when did they become so stupid?

There are some people in this word that know everything. Sometimes I will ask one of these people a question that I am not positive of the answer to. Occasionally I will have a good idea of the answer, but simply want to check my own memory. Then somewhere between 3 seconds to 5 minutes later, I realize something. This person is prepared to give me a 65 page masters thesis on the topic and he/she (usually a he) doesn’t know anything about the topic. So now I have to think of an excuse to leave this conversation because I don’t want to hear a bunch of made up crap.

Some people seem to know about everything. They will talk and talk and talk. I used to think that these people generally knew a lot. I of course usually suspected in high school that the kids that did this were full of crap. It wasn’t till I got into my twenties that I finally gained enough experience to be able to defend my position. Now I can safely wait for one of these people to talk about one thing that I do know about and tell them why I know they are full of crap. Mark Twain once said, “It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think that you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.” This sums it up. Stupid people talk to much and with enough talking, they eventualy prove to the world that they are stupid.

“If its true that in the quest for answers, scientists only get more questions, then it makes sense that dumb people have all the answers and no questions.” -ME
