Sex and Youth…Who do we blame?

Yesterday I went to Knott’s Berry Farm with my significant other and the future in-laws.  We had a great time, it was fun.  I had never been there before and I love amusement parks. Luckily we got there early and we didn’t have to stand in line along time for the major rides so by the time the end of the day drew near we were almost completely finished with everything we wanted to do, besides try Knott’s Fried Chicken who they say must be made with crack because it’s the best around..my guess is no one has any comparison besides KFC and that’s easy to beat…oh well, jumping back to my subject topic..

I realized at the amusement park how much youth has changed, even since I was a adolescent and going to amusement parks with my little adolescent friends. While we were standing in line for a ride there were teenagers, no older than 14 all over each other! Making out, feeling each other up, just gross public display of youth babymaking in your face. The  other half of the adolescent girls had on form fitting tops and short shorts and heels and their hair and makeup all made up.  At what point did they forget they were going to an amusement park?  Why did their parents let them out of the house like that?  I just remember when I was going to these places when I was kid I was a comfortable kid, hair pulled up, tshirt, who was I trying to impress?  It was just a display that bothered me and worries me slightly for the future of my kids and how they will act.

Oh, they knew… and found it amusing to be dressed like whores. *sigh*

As to why their parents let ‘em go out like that, well, I have a raft of answers, but they all start with “What parents?”

    Leap Year Leap Day Links…

I just thought the photo above was beautiful, so I figured I’d add it. Something about it seemed to me to fit with the mysteries of Leap Year. I know, leap year is not all that mysterious, but the photo seems to me to be. I shamelessly grabbed t…

It’s scary when kids start being sexual at such a young age. I noticed the phrase “future inlaws” and reaiized that you have news I hadn’t heard. Congratulations.
